22/16-6Z (Dalziel)

A sidetrack well in the Central North Sea planned to assess the thickness and lateral extent of the hydrocarbon bearing Upper Jurassic Fulmar sandstone down-dip to the North West in order to calculate prospect volumetrics of the Dalziel field. The objectives were to gather a full suite of wireline log data along with formation pressures and samples to understand the fluid types encountered. The well was successfully drilled and logged in 2015 using the Transocean Galaxy II jack-up drilling rig.
